Working on variations, or translations, of one composition has been a fun and enlightening project. The idea of painting the same composition repetitively is not new, for sure, but it was for me. I love seeing how different each one is, how the feeling changes from one to another. I love using different and new papers, underpainting some with acrylic or watercolor, drawing with charcoal...whatever strikes as a possibility for that day. And I'm not tired of the field with water running through it, a common sight wherever I go, and yet never the same.
